Parade

On behalf of the Parade Committee of the Old Shawnee Days Society, I would like to welcome you to the 57th Annual Old Shawnee Days Parade on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at 10:00am. 

The Old Shawnee Days parade is one of the largest in the State of Kansas and features a variety of creative and spirited entries.  Awards with be given in the following categories:

 “Most Creative Concept”
 “Best Musical Performance”
 “Most Festive Spirit”
 “Best Animal Representation”
 “Best Float” (entered by a business)
 “2025 Grand Marshal Award” (depicts best theme)
 “2025 Mayor’s Award” (best overall entry).


This year’s theme is "Adventure Awaits", so we encourage you to embrace this spirit as you design your entry. 

Participation in the Old Shawnee Days Parade is free of charge. We look forward to celebrating with you!


PARADE GRAND MARSHAL

The Old Shawnee Days Society is now accepting nominations for a Grand Marshal in the annual Old Shawnee Days Parade. Nominees must be Shawnee residents and have made a significant contribution to the community through their work or volunteer efforts, or to the preservation of Shawnee's history.

Nominations should include the following information:

- Name, address, phone, job or profession and a summary of accomplishments of the nominee.

- Name, address and phone number of the nominating individual and their relationship to the nominee.

- In 100 words or less, why the nominee should be considered for grand marshal.

Nominations must be received by May 1st and can be mailed to: Old Shawnee Days Society, P.O. Box 3214, Shawnee, KS 66203. Nominations also may be submitted via email.
