Volunteer
It’s really okay to ask, "What's in it for me?"

Volunteering can be far more than simply doing a good deed. In fact, volunteering can be a great way to develop skills, increase self-confidence, make friends, garner new professional contacts, get exercise, increase your social skills, spend time outdoors, or even just shake up your routine. Volunteering at Old Shawnee Days is all of these and much, much more. Come join us and partake in one of the best festivals in Kansas. Simply review the list below to see how you can join our great team of volunteers and get your free Old Shawnee Days T-shirt.

    Other Duties As Assigned
Old Shawnee Days festival has been known to create some of the best memories ever made, especially because of the well-organized nature of the event. A key component of this is our ability to quickly move into areas where activities need to be carried out. As such, there will be many miscellaneous tasks you can assist with to include:
    • Helping set up chairs and tables for different events.
    • Assisting park staff with trash and festival area clean up.
    • Manning the ice truck, recording booth vendors’ purchases.
    • Filling coolers with bottled water at various volunteer stations.
