An annual favorite at Old Shawnee Days is chainsaw artist Jim Clark. Jim has traveled throughout the United States creating chainsaw sculptures at fairs, festivals, competitions, and wood carving shows. Beginning from a log, Jim creates a variety of animals and wildlife plus Indians, cowboys, and caricatures. The sculptures vary in size from approximately one foot to life size figures. Audiences attending the show will see forms begin to emerge from the logs within minutes. People can return throughout the day and see the progress and the new creations. All carvings will be auctioned off on the bandstand on Sunday at 3:30pm.

This popular game came to Shawnee from Belgium. Long popular in Europe, the sport is a cross between bowling and horseshoes. Teams of three players toss a black wheel-type disc in an effort to get their disk closest to the pin.
